With the nuclear spring, civil war has also come to the Metro. The Red Line trains their men hreatly, mustering as many soldiers as they can for a future conquest. And the Fuhrer of the Fourth Reich preaches of a "Last Crusade", one that will assimilate the Reich as the greatest and ruling faction of the Moscow Metro. But both goliaths have a common goal... To capture the heart of the Metro. Polis. I hope this can be a fairly big rp event.... we'd need as many people as we can get. The Reich would be making a total Blitzkrieg to the North of Polis, Alexandrovsky Sad. The Reds would be throwing every man they had to Biblioteka Lenina, the East, and Borovitskaya. The Hansa would be locking down their connection to the Red Line, supressing numerous Red attacks and declining entrance to many immigrants. Komsomolskaya would become a boundary war between the Reds and Hansa; a gory war in the middle of the station, no better than a gang fight. Park Kultury would be surrounded by to close by Red stations, most likely falling to the Communists early on. Of all Rng Line stations Kievskaya would remain the most useful to aid Polis. With help from the Arbat Confederation they could fend off the Reds and possibly send soldiers straight to Polis. But will the Ring Line truly send aid to Polis, or will it greedily lock down it's borders and take advantage of the War? Will the Red Line create an alliance with the Reich? Or will the war go straight onto the surface... among the bog and insect-like mutants? Please discuss all this below! Including how we can encorporate the civil war. Should it all be one in thread or as numerous threads of countless battles throughout the Metro? I have a Nazi officer character to lead the assault on Polis, as well as a Hansa guard. (Zeus also has a Reich member). We could also use a Red officer character or soldier.... using Alternate characters should also be encouraged. I hope everyone has ideas! Boy... if we get this war going... it'll be AWESOME!

I think D6 is more likely to be the focal point of the civil war. It's an enormous pre-war weapon stockpile that would give a big advantage to anyone who manages to take over it entirely. The previews for Last Light have also made it clear that factions took over certain parts of D6 (you can see Reich troops in D6 at one point).
Polis does not have much strategic value compared to D6. It's a symbol, evidently, but it doesn't have any of the rewards that D6 has.

Oh yeah! Great! I almost forgot about D-6. We could make a thread like that, the Reich trying to take over points in D-6. Rangers hiring people to protect those compounds (sounds kinda unlikely though that Ramgers would hire regular stalkers). Oh I know!
The Fourth Reich threatens the Ring line or Polis with a missile strike upon their area. The Rangers could then try and assemble a tag team to go into D-6 and get rid of the Nazi presence there. But along the way... the group could run into the Reds or other new-found mutants. It'd be cool if they went to the surface too... witness and actually roleplay in the nuclear spring.

The only problem with a missile strike is that it wouldn't do much harm to the Metro stations.

That sucks... then that means D-6 has almost no value lol. Aside from sending out missiles into the Dead city and killing hordes of mutants.
Any ideas anyone? Definitely something about D-6 or an attack on Polis.

D6 has value other than the missiles. Didn't you see all the weapons kept inside? I suspect there might also be shit like chemical and biological weapons...

Oh right... they could threaten to launch some biological shit at some people's area on the surface, making the surface even MORE dangerous. If the surface above Polis is chemically or biologically unstable, then Polis couldn't go up to the surface. Perhaps the weapons create new mutations as well...
Nevertheless, the Red line of the Reich would have many chemical weapons which are a great threat to the rest of the Metro. I say we make a thread about a team going over to eliminate the Reich's position in D-6. Possibly having a small part up on the surface too, to the area where the Reich could fire the biological weapons.

Or tanks, D6 has tanks and Nazi's have underground rusty tanks, time to swap it up for the big official Russian army ones I guess. Then you have the military grade weapons caches which give anyone a big advantage.
And other stuff, if you survive all those weird mutant plants that is or whatever it was.

I'm in comrades, I think that maybe all out warfare from Polis and the Ring Line to D6 and so on and so forth. My Nazi Captain will be leading the charge across the battlefields waving his pistol and giving the battle cry to victory. Also my Bauman Stalker could help out in Polis and I might make a Hansa or Red Line character. Sounds great and can't wait to jump in.

Ok, I have a plan on how it's gonna work....
The Fourth Reich will be preparing for a war. The Fuhrer makes an awe-inspiring speech to all his forces, numbering hundreds of men. He addresses both Viktor Kovalenko and Aleksander Novikov as leading officers.
Meanwhile, the people of Polis are all notified of the Nazi preparations... I shall not reveal how. Once they find out, Polis will act; it's up to the Polis, Hansa and all the others to decide.
A Polis leader could also be useful, perhaps a Ranger commander. Anyone is welcome to join, we need at least several people to make this fun!

So instead of RP'ing yourself we command others? Cool. Well I'd love to be the Ranger commander if the spot is open.

Alrighty, you can be the Ranger commander. Idk if you need an app or what.... We'll seek out the Almoghty Joe on that one
Command others? Some will, some won't. We just need a few people behind the scenes to coordinate the faction's movements. We have two people in the Reich and so far one in Polis, so they should be the ones handling political dealings. Other participants(stalkers, rangers, hansa guards, etc.) could be carrying out the assignments. So, Novak, as the Polis commander you'd be deciding how the Polis military reacts to the Reich threat (which i will reveal soon enough)

*Sends all men, women and children armed with a kalash into the most dangerous tunnels, in his hasty recruitment he forgot to provide them with bullets.*
Just kidding, in reality I hope my experience with politics, commanding factions and such in other RP's will pay off. Anyone else here ever command galaxy-spanning empires against other galaxy-spanning empires?
