"Do not follow me" said Nadya, her lips moving mechanically. She and Watcher were now standing beneath a large archway, its white form blackened by scorch marks. Her eyes remained unblinking behind the lenses of her gas mask as she reached for something tucked away in her jacket. When she pulled it out, she revealed it to be a bundle of dynamite sticks.
"Come any closer and I will light the fuse" said Nadya, her voice flat and dull. A lighter appeared in her other hand, and she lit it with a quick flick of the thumb. The flame hovered dangerously close to the dynamite's fuse.
But Mikhail reached out and brushed her shoulder with his hand. The gesture was all the provocation Nadya and the Watcher needed. The flame leaned into the fuse, which caught with an angry hiss. The stalker hurled the bundle of explosives upwards, towards the arch, where it whirled a couple of times in the air before the fuse burned down and reached the explosive. There was a blinding flash of light and the ground shuddered. A sickening groan of breaking stone filled the air as the arch began to collapse, dragging with it the rest of the Dark Ones' spire. Rocks crashed into the swampy ground, throwing murky water and bones into the air. A cloud of dust finally engulfed the scene, burying it in an opaque mist of shredded stone and mortar.
And when the dust faded, the spire was no more. Only a massive pile of rubble remained in its stead. The tunnel in which Nadya and the Watcher had stood only moments before was also buried in rubble.
And out of the rubble there poked a familiar object. A rifle, its wood splintered and its steel barrel bent, stuck out of the wreckage. Itw as Nadya's rifle.
And Nadya was nowhere to be seen.
OOC: thread's over, folks. Nadya's adventures will be continued in another thread, and I'll make another thread for those looking for her.
