Yeah, I think they are but I might be wrong, and not to be cruel to Bourbon but his death in the book was more of a surprise than in the game... But I suppose it would be kind of more difficult just to do that and force Artyom to look while he did it than the death he was given in the Lost Catacombs...

Hey just had this idea also, why not making a scavenge run inside the metro to find components to create some kind of satelite uplink, that way we could reach radio frequences from other parts of the world and we can send a message?

Good one! My Viktor char is and engineer, so he can fix it up when we have the parts

I like the idea - but that would have some consequenses, e.g. actual communication with survivors in other countries and we have absolutely no canon-informations about that. Would be a shitload of work (sorry for my language) to build that background.
So i'd rather prefer this mission to fail. But on the other hand, I hate to plan the outcome of plot.
For your information, I'd love to enter the story lateron, If last journey comes to an end or my char leaves the story. And I love the idea of some tunnel time!

Yeah I also thought that the plan would fail, but while searching for the parts something can happen like a sidequest that will turn into the main objective for the sake of our people

Interestingly enough, Saint-Petersburg has survivors living in its metro. Perhaps the group manages to contact Piter?

I would think if I were to make it I would want it to start at a large station... But that's just me.

Well, I think it is time that we decided on a name for this thread and where it shall begin. Personally, I suggest the name "New friends - Old problems" meaning that our chars are all new to each other, but the problem of communication with other cities is as old as the post-war metro itself. (and it also gives us a good name for a follow up thread "Old friends - New problems")

I'm with milch on this one. It's a pretty good idea for a title.

Some other variants of "New friends - old problems"
"New comrades, old complications" "New faces - old tunnels" "New people - old places" ...

OOoooh.... I like dis Idea. My character is a trader who's been all over the metro, he can more likely then not find those parts Viktor needs with a little good haggling. mind if I jump in when the roleplay is created?
