Hmm, what if the murders were a prerequisite step in a longer ritual, where the next step involves kidnapping people to sacrifice back at the lair?

That could work. How would he do it? Gas us? He can't exactly clobber all of us at once. Unless there are more than one.

Gas is a possible method. As for clobbering us, he could first get us separated somehow. For ranged takedowns, maybe he could even use tranquilizer darts, provided it's done in a relatively lore friendly way, maybe? Like, a pneumatic gun that fires little darts instead of ball bearings or spikes?
Plus, even if he ever gets caught, it would be very unlikely that he would be killed or taken in right there. I'm planning for the Starmaker to be quite a powerful opponent.

I think there has to be one or two characters that the Starmaker is unsuccessful in capturing. Might make it a bit more interesting.

Sure, that could make things interesting. So...who's in?

Sure! People are still welcome, since the rp hasn't started yet.

Some of us might need to create a new character for this, me for example. It depends really. The one character I have isn't one to try and rescue or even be around people she doesn't know.

Sonya, right? Hmmm, well, I'm sure there's plenty of plausible ways for any kind of character to get involved somehow (depending on whether or not you WANT to use Sonya, of course). For example, what if Sonya stumbled upon an investigation by accident, and was caught in one of the Starmaker's gas attacks?

Well, that could work of cause. It would force her to work with the other people to get away.

Any other suggestions before the thread gets the green light? Oh, and for those who want in, if possible, please make sure that you can post at a semi-reasonable pace. This is just so that posts don't end up taking too long, and the thread has a lesser risk of dying off prematurely. Of course, it's not like, "IF YOU TAKE MORE THAN A DAY TO POST YOU'RE OUT!" but just to make sure posts don't take, like, a month or something.

In the book mentions some kind of sedative injection via needle and people wake up in their lair. Needlessness to say I'm in the kidnapped fight for your life camp.

I'd say starting location doesn't matter too much, we could just pick a random station that our characters are likely to be in. For those who get kidnapped, I'm divided between a personal lair of the Starmaker or the main Satanist lair.
I wanna try to avoid anything too major happening to the main lair in this rp, since that could cause issues for possible future rp's involving it.
