Looks SO cool! The new mutants looked awesome too. There was a furry... nosalis thing, defintely not a watcher, and even that huge mantis!
But even with all the atmosphere and gameplay.... I mainly want to see Khan kick more ass! Love that dude...

ok guys... I'm debating on buying Metro Last Light. Do any of you guys own it yet? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

Alrighty, i was kinda miffed at the extra payment for ranger mode though... :/ charging you extra for how the game is meant to be played.

I just got Last Light and I'm a bit pissed at having to pay for the Ranger pack. On the box they claimed the pack came free with the game...?
But anyway, so far the game is excellent. For those who've played the first game, you'll get a real feeling of urgency and darkness. Stealth works a lot better now than it used to and is actually a lot more rewarding than shooting your way through (the economy in bullets is well worth sneaking around!). You can also get good karma by sneaking and knocking enemies out rather than killing them.
The game is also really beautiful. The scenery is absolutely amazing, and the surface looks and feels like a strange and alien world. This truly isn't the world we used to know before the Great War, comrades...

yeah, from what i've seen the game looks like a great improvement from metro 2033, even though the first was still great.
i shall definitely buy it now... after I purchase a season pass for Bioshock Infinite XD

I like that mutants aren't bullet sponges now. Sagia 12 was my weapon of choose.

Anyone else had trouble on the marshes level? I ran out of filters and got attacked by some particularly nasty shit. When the rangers finally let me into their church I was suffocating.

I actually beat the game a week ago on Ranger. The thing is the Marshes level is notoriously difficult between those armored crabs and the fact it gets darker, the trick is to skip it as much as possible. Don't fight those mutants and simply follow the objective.
When you defend the boat, plant claymores and chuck grenades at your own feet while moving away. It should deal with the crabs as they pass over it and get shrapnel in their backside.
So don't waste ammo, also do not fight the Watchmen, stealth kill the two scouts and they will not call for reinforcements. Afterwards simply keep on running, even when that green crab (I like to call him the phantom) starts chasing you. Just ignore and run.
Then when you have to enter the church, focus on the phantom and once it's down the other crabs should be dead as well and your buddies will safe you.
Yeah I am somewhat of a veteran hehe, true Ranger just like Novak. So direct questions to me if you have them.
