I was stuck with Win8 for a few months. The shortcut business is pretty easy to learn, but what really annoyed me was how unreliable Win8 is. Whenever there's an update there's always a chance your computer will fail to restart, and you'll be forced to restore the system and lose a lot of data. Another annoying bug I had was sound stuttering, which would make listening to music or watching videos a pain in the arse. I switched to Ubuntu a couple of days ago and it's a real relief.
I used to listen to SOAD back in high school along with lots of metal. It was my Goth/metalhead phase (I even dyed my hair black at one point, good Lord...). Now I just listen to heaps and heaps of weird music.

BPM, why am I not surprised that you use Google Chrome? Also, is that a Shadowrun wallpaper? And now without icons! My taskbar is on the left hand side since I run Ubuntu.

What's wrong with Chrome, yes it is. I'm actually looking to GM a game once I learn more of the rules if you would like to join me.

Firefox is better, also it's cause I don't like hunting for stuff in folders, if it's all out I can find it.

Iunno, it was just a gut feeling I had. I stopped using Chrome after I learned about the whole "Google spies on people" business.

Every one is spying on you now a days, privacy is none existent. I like Chrom used Firefox for a long time but some of my online classes did not like it so switched to what I have now

The Karc gets a kiss and a free date for still owning The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Awesome game! Totally underrated, awesome game! I still love it. So, yeah... Rainmeter faction over here as well. And the Rocketdock. I need lots of discipline to keep my desktop tidy but in the last 3 months, I kept it clean^^

Proprietary software is stuff that does the most spying, so "everyone spies on you nowadays" is not entirely true.

Sailing through the pirate bay, I assume? Awww, thanks fancy! It's so heavily modified now though. I've played through vanilla with all the clans and several times modded. Good times. Malks are best. I use it to run old programs where the disc is so damaged it won't run anymore Such as Encarta 95 so I can still play Mindmaze. But I use my pc for older games, and consoles for everything else. The game I'd recommend is Dear Esther, after the finally bit I sat in the dark for at least 10 mins and just listened.
