Hey, are you bored of posts that slow down? Your adventure is at a stop because the main character that had the whole idea of the journey left for an undetermined period of time, in fact, the guy was gone for such a long time you forgot what was your character doing in the thread from the very beginning?
Fear you not, there is a solution, I named it The Tunnel:
Think of it as a sentient being that pushes your characters to a side mission or forward to continue the story. The Tunnel is inspired after my experiences with PnP rpgs, you know, the one with dice and a Dungeon Master or Keeper, in the ways of D&D and Call of Cthulhu! However you are not the DM for your group, you have to listen to each member's idea and after a democratic vote, you will finally be back on tracks again, with a different idea than before but still in a certain continuity. If the members of your group agrees to have some kind of Dungeon Master that will write challenges and NPCs to meet, you can do it!
To prevent people from a very likely burnout (play your character in the thread + The Tunnel is not fun). I came up with another idea, we will install a new thread called The Tunnel. In this, you can share your written descriptions of rooms, places inside and outside the metro and monsters, encounters, "side quests" for everyone to share as templates, with these templates, the DM can pick some of the ideas and it will take less time for him to describe a whole room, for instance a very loud bar or a uknown creature far in the distance. We might even create a special character sheet for The Tunnel itself with these paranormal activites Artyom encountered through his adventures.
However, this compendium will only be a tool in dire needs of RP and I suggest not to profit too much from it. We need to be creative, this is a RP forum and not a tabletop board game, we should write the actions of OUR characters in a third person perspective, we can't write all the time with a DM that dictates every action from another point of view, it just feels wrong.
I will gladly bring more informations if you have questions or if my big block of text was too shady for some.
