Name: Vitaly Barabanshikov
Birthplace: Born in the reigon of Chechnya, he moved with his family to Moscow as a toddler. The bombs dropped when he was but a child, and his first memory remains persistent screaming and an almighty flash just as he was hauled into the Metro.
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Faction affinity (if any) and faction relations: Friendly terms with the Muslims from Katai-Gorod where he was raised. His religion and Chechen upbringing puts him at odds with the Fourth Reich. Neutral to all others.
Physical description: A lengthy 6 and a half feet tall with brown eyes, a small brown beard and dark, buzz-short hair. Rather dark-skinned when compared to many of the paler residents of the Metro, but far from tanned.
Personality: Idealistic but practical. He will never cease arguing for what he believes in, which runs along similar lines to the Trotskyists. He is a Muslim and beieves rigidly in the law of Nana Watai, in which he must give sanctum to even his most hated enemy if they ask for it, but otherwise he follows his religion merely out of habit. He has a strong yearning to re visit the surface, and a stronger yearning still to comprehend and study the Dark Ones. However he can get riled fairly easily, and when he's angry, Vitaly tends to lose sense and make silly mistakes.
History: Vitaly grew up around Kitai-Gorod with his father who was a hunter before the war. Consequently, he learnt to shoot a rifle and pistol fairly well; he had been taught to use them during the frequent skirmishes with the neighboring station. It used to be that he'd make trips across to the neighboring station, seperated only by a series of barriers and armed guards, with his father who brokered the uneasy peace agreement between the Muslims and the rest of the inhabitants. While the trip cost 2 catridges each time, Vitaly allways managed to make a little bit by selling Kebab'd rat and come away with a pittance to spend for himself.
When his father died during a skirmish with the Hansa in a nearby tunnel, Vitaly inheritied his things. Afflicted with a lust for knowledge of the old world, Vitaly set himself the life goals of one day visiting the Emerald City and perhaps even Polis. But his greatest want of all is to interact with, study and understand the legendary and infamous Dark Ones, whom he had heard rumours about for as long as he could remember.
Preferred weapon(s): Mosin-Nagant Bolt Action Rifle, Tokarev TT-30
Notes: All arms inherited from his father who used to be de-facto leader of his side of Kitai-Gorod. Prior to his death, Vitaly was deemed too young to rule, but still has a good few connections on both sides of the station.
