Okay! We have to get back in the saddle, and there's nothing better for that than a nice, site-wide plot of big importance. Judging from the upcoming "Metro: Last Light", I think we should do something involving Metro-2 (AKA D6). After all, even with its existence kept secret by the Rangers, such a large stash of pre-war equipment and weaponry is bound to attract attention at some point.

Sounds good. I tihnk someone should stumble across the stash, a faction. Let's say...the fascists get a hold of the wepons which vastly turns the tide AGAINST the Communists of the Red Line and the other stations have to find a way of working to take down the fascists a notch by snatching up the weapons?
This massive turnover the status quo could attract the Dark Ones which begins threatening all of the outer stations and higher officials of the Fascist Reich keep going missing due to their constant presence at D6?

You know how storms and the like cause people to react... its a phenomenon like a flash point in the human psyche, but to put into a perspective for the rpg, say a minor earth quake...
I know moscow wouldn't expect more than a mark 5, so nothing catastrophicly major...
But it could perhaps cause disruption to some power, cause flooding in other areas, as i say nothing overly major tho, perhaps a fire at some other station too... and so it would be a flash point. The lights dimn, everyone asleep is shaken awake, people wonder what the hell is going on... and some people use the disruption as an oportunity, maybe some area of the redline rebels, or raiders hit a market on the edge of Hanse, petty theavery spikes... maybe a number of things all at once, could be a real 'event' and be remembered as a time when a number of things went wrong. Nothing that would change the metro permanently, but still significant. Maybe flooded generators at the Sevastopolskaja stations, loss of communications and need for many scouting and maintenance parties to be dispatched. Perhaps the quake sturs an unusual amount of mutants or a flood of rats from the under world, like what happened at Polezhaevskaja or a minor tunnel colapse with disruptoin to caravans. Many would not know if other parts of the Metro are ok at this point. People worried about loved ones etc
Maybe separate these things are minor and can be dealt with, but all at the same time it effects the entire metro... a brief spell of chaos, before order is restored.
Not sure how this would be played out, but it just came to me, so thought I'd post it here.
[edit] I see you wanted really to do something about D6, so this isn't it, but maybe a different idea i guess. Or maybe the quake could stur the blob from under the kremlin..? Then it really would be catastrophy lol

Fascists = Super secret power weapon vs. Communist = Biomass lovemaking + Oh shit, mother nature is pissed. = Escalation in war effort, resulting in major internal destabalization Buckle up, bros and bros (there are no girls on the internet). Invite your friends, your family and mother-in-laws. We're gonna get the ball rolling. Also, multiple characters. It might be nice to make it customary to have two characters that aren't of the same faction. That way, we can have more communists and more nazi's, instead of a retarded cluster of stalkers (which isn't actually a problem at all here).

I've only seen 2 so far lol And to be fair, they are the obvous choice for characters because of their mobility, similarly why i chose a caravan guard, I don't wnt to be a VDNKh pig farmer or mushroom planter stuck up to his knees in manure and never goes anywhere. But yeah, my second character will be completly different from my current one. Maybe a communist sharp shooter or a ganger at Kitai Gorod.

Also, Danjaman, I figured that the more mainstream and extremely base metro 2033 (this is a joke, since we're basically the only one) would be chock full of wannabe stalkers.
I hope to sort of use my stalker to show off how on-the-edge stalkers are, which will hopefully ward off any new roleplayers from playing such an unstable character. Instability is sort of important.
On another note, I think we need to buckle up and form a team so that we could infiltrate D6 or something else that's equally cool. Forge them through this little entorouge we got going on. ADDITIONALLY, I have some really cool ideas which involves AAHH! You'll see in-game, as long as Curtis gets on the cart.

I'd suggest, btw, that we take a similar route to Artyom n the book if we reach D-6, through Park Pobedy.
